Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any services with Mulambwane Wildlife & Hunting Safaris.

1. Booking and Reservation

1.1 Reservations: All bookings with Mulambwane Wildlife & Hunting Safaris are confirmed only upon receipt of a completed booking form and deposit payment. Reservations are not guaranteed until all required documentation has been received and processed.

1.2 Payment Terms: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total safari package price is required to secure your booking. The balance payment is due 60 days before your safari commencement date. Final payments must be made via bank transfer or as otherwise specified in your booking confirmation.

1.3 Booking Modifications: Changes to booking dates must be requested in writing at least 45 days prior to the original safari date. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancellation by Guest: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Mulambwane Wildlife & Hunting Safaris.

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before the safari date: 30% deposit forfeited
  • Cancellations made 45-60 days before: 50% of total cost forfeited
  • Cancellations made less than 45 days before: 100% of total cost forfeited (non-refundable)

2.2 Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, wars, etc.), the guest may reschedule their safari to an alternative date without penalty within 12 months. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit note equivalent to 70% of the paid amount will be issued.

2.3 Cancellation by Mulambwane: We reserve the right to cancel bookings if the guest breaches any term of this agreement. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

3. Health, Safety & Liability

3.1 Health Requirements: Guests must be in good physical and mental health to participate in safari activities. Mulambwane is not liable for illness or injury resulting from pre-existing medical conditions.

3.2 Medical Disclaimer: Safari activities in remote areas carry inherent risks. Guests acknowledge these risks and assume full responsibility for any injuries or health complications that may occur during their stay.

3.3 Vaccinations: Guests are responsible for obtaining necessary vaccinations (including malaria prophylaxis, yellow fever, etc.) recommended by their physician before travel. Mulambwane is not liable for any health issues related to lack of appropriate medical preparation.

3.4 Liability Waiver: By booking with Mulambwane, guests acknowledge and accept all risks inherent to safari activities, including interaction with wild animals, vehicular travel, and remote location conditions. Guests release Mulambwane from all liability for injuries, death, or property damage sustained during the safari experience.

4. Age and Supervision Requirements

4.1 Minimum Age: Children under 12 years of age may participate in game viewing activities with parental consent and supervision. Active hunting safaris are restricted to guests 18 years and older.

4.2 Parental Responsibility: Parents or guardians of children are fully responsible for their supervision and safety during all safari activities.

4.3 Hunting Age Restrictions: All participants in hunting activities must present valid identification proving they are at least 18 years of age and possess all necessary hunting licenses and permits.

5. Hunting Licenses and Legal Compliance

5.1 Hunting Permits: Guests are required to possess valid international hunting permits or licenses as required by South African law. Mulambwane will provide guidance on obtaining necessary documentation, but guests remain solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all local and national laws.

5.2 Legally Protected Species: Hunting of any legally protected or endangered species is strictly prohibited. Guests who attempt to hunt protected species will face immediate removal from the property without refund.

5.3 Firearms Regulations: All firearms must comply with South African firearms regulations. Guests are responsible for all import/export documentation and permits related to their firearms.

6. Code of Conduct

6.1 Guest Behavior: Guests must maintain respectful behavior toward staff, other guests, and the wildlife. Abusive language, violence, or harassment will not be tolerated.

6.2 Prohibited Substances: The use of illegal drugs or excessive alcohol is strictly prohibited. Guests under the influence will not be permitted to participate in safari activities and may be asked to leave the property.

6.3 Environmental Respect: Guests must respect the natural environment and follow all guide instructions regarding wildlife interaction and conservation practices.

6.4 Ejection from Property: Mulambwane reserves the right to remove guests who violate these terms. No refunds will be provided for early departure due to guest misconduct.

7. Pricing and Inclusions

7.1 Quote Validity: All pricing quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. Prices are subject to change without notice after this period.

7.2 Currency: All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise specified. International guests are responsible for currency conversion and any associated fees.

7.3 Package Inclusions: The specific inclusions of each safari package are detailed in your booking confirmation. Any services not explicitly listed are not included.

7.4 Additional Charges: Guests are responsible for airport transfers, travel insurance, and any additional activities requested beyond the booked package.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Wildlife Encounters: Mulambwane does not guarantee wildlife sightings. While our guides are experienced, the unpredictability of wildlife means sightings cannot be assured.

8.2 Weather Conditions: Activities may be modified or postponed due to adverse weather. Mulambwane is not liable for inconvenience or disappointment caused by weather-related changes.

8.3 Medical Emergencies: While Mulambwane has first aid capabilities, we are not responsible for medical evacuation or treatment expenses. Guests should maintain comprehensive travel and medical insurance.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Photography: Guests may take photographs and videos for personal use only. Commercial use of images featuring Mulambwane property, staff, or operations requires written permission.

9.2 Guide Images: Guides may photograph guests during the safari. Mulambwane retains the right to use these images for promotional purposes unless guests explicitly opt out in writing.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Jurisdiction: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved according to South African law.

10.2 Dispute Resolution: Disputes will first be subject to mediation. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved through arbitration rather than litigation.

11. Changes to Terms

11.1 Modifications: Mulambwane reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued booking after changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.
